Ministry of Fitness is turning their attention to the corporates of Launceston for the next 'EPIC'. They are throwing down the gaunlet - is your wokplace game enought to take on the challenge?
The EPIC, like 'The Amazing Race', is an event where teams race to complete a series of physical and mental challenges. You don't need to be super fit or super fast, just willing to give it a go. And this time we are making it easier-you will get to drive!
The EPIC will be a corporate challenge, where teams of 4 will represent their workplace or business while raising money for a Foundation 33 charity.
The race is expected to take 2.5-3 hours, with lots of fun and interesting challenges around Launceston and the Valley.
Want to take part? Here's what to do:
1. Register your team with Ministry of fitness (phone, email, Facebook),
2. Pay your registration fee
3. Start fundraising (We will set you up with an 'everyday hero' fundraising webpage)
4. Prepare for an action-packed day of fun and adventure
The Corporate EPIC is a fun event that will not only be enjoyed by you and your colleagues, but it gives your business the unique chance to promote and network with other local business people. Many of the challenges along the way provide an opportunity to mingle and socialise with the 'opposition'.
Once you have selected the team of four to represent your workplace, simply pay the registration fee, and we'll set you up with a fundraising page for the individuals to raise money.
Money raised will go to the building of a playground for Waverley Primary School.

The Launnie Ten 2011
Foundation33inc and St.LukesHealth have put in a mighty effort to support a cause that is sometimes forgotten when it comes to our children's education. It is important that each child has a nutritious breakfast to improve concentration and increase energy levels while they are at school.
A call out was made to staff, friends and family members of St.LukesHealth and Foundation33inc to join the team and participate in the Launceston 10. With only 3 months preparation time, the team of 19 runners, joggers and walkers braved the frosty conditions early on a Sunday morning and every member managed to get to the finish line.
The Foundation33inc committee would like to thank St.LukesHealth, JBC Sportspower, KPMG and Travel 360 for coming on board to support the team as sponsors.
So far, the team has raised $2180.00 for local school breakfast programs and wish to thank everyone who has already donated to the cause. The team are hoping to reach their $2500.00 target by the end of June.
